Raising a carny for Steglitz Festival Week

A photo-gallery exhibition of workers installing rides & booths for good, clean fun...

On my way to work, I stumbled across this park fairground in Lichterfeld and was inspired by the scene to snap a few pics. I was fascinated by the workers whose job it is to install these giant rides and attractions.

The festival/carny opened on the 23rd and runs until June 6. It’s called the Steglitz Festival Week.

The event includes a stage for live bands and other entertainment, including a stage competition, allowing people to show-off their talent — “such as magic, acrobatics, comedy, music and dance” — for prize money.

The festival is supported by the local/municipal government of Steglitz.
